Fool For Love

Synopsis

A twisted cowboy romance by Sam Shepherd challenges audiences to think about family, legacy and love.

When old flames May and Eddie meet at a run-down motel, the stage is set for a shocking confrontation as the pair dissect their destructive past relationship. A father figure – the Old Man – looks on and offers commentary.

As the play unfolds, the Old Man is revealed to be father to both, leading to tragic revelations.
Past, present and reality collide in this searingly funny and dark portrayal of love, loss and identity set against the stark backdrop of the Mojave Desert.

Fool for Love is the final show at Found111, London’s most fashionable pop-up theatre, directed by Simon Evans and produced by Emily Dobbs. The show stars Adam Rothenberg, making his eagerly awaited London stage debut, and Olivier award-nominated Lydia Wilson, who had previously featured together as lovers in BBC1’s hit detective series, Ripper Street.

Fool For Love will play until Saturday 17 December.
